Lower Bud Sites - To Prune or Not To Prune

There are bud sites and smaller branches with bud sites below the 'harvest line'. Would it just set the plants back a couple days if prune theses out from stress like with heavy leaf pruning? Or... Should I just leave them be and continue to keep canopy relatively open? Thank you

Yes, Defoliate and lollypop those bottom leaves. Anything at the bottom that gets no light. You want to the light to penetrate to lower branches and have a nice air flow. You'll notice a huge deference in yield and bud size. i have a video on week 6 of my blue frost, have a look at it, underneath my canopy is clear. Hope it helps, happy growing.

Hey Growmie,
Your going to want to remove those lower bud sites and branches that are below the harvest line, they'll end up being popcorn buds and no one wants that. When you using the scrog, your suppose to remove anything below the harvest line. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.

Harvest twice? How much time for trichomes to change?I noticed the first few amber trichomes on my top bud yesterday with 23 days left for recommended flower time. How long does the color change take normally on the trichomes? I think I need to take the top two colas first and let the bottom catch up. My 1st harvest ever, any tips?

Trichome Advice--Cloudy enough to stop giving nutes??I'm trying to figure out when I should stop giving nutes. I've read 1-2 weeks before harvest when the trichomes turn Amber. My question is: Based on these trichomes, when would you stop giving nutes? Do they look cloudy enough to stop now? Or should I wait until I see amber?
