Despite that they’re not photo dependent, I’m of the camp that says autos still require some element of dark period. Autos will still be subject to a circadian rhythm and the goal when growing indoors is to recreate ideal growth conditions. So it makes a lot of sense to incorporate a dark period. I usually stick with a 20/4 light cycle when running autos. That’s just where I’ve found the best yields. Agreed, light damage can be cumulative over the course of a grow too, but I’ve never really cared all that much about a couple torched fan leaves if I’m getting bigger, denser buds in exchange👍.
