Removing healthy green leaves will just reduce your plants ability to produce energy, resulting in slower and possibly smaller growth. There is no need to remove leaves from your cannabis plant, unless they are yellow, for by the time they are yellow, they will have served their purpose. The older leaves also hold a store of vital elements that your plant will draw upon during flowering. This is why your plants leaves go yellow at maturity even though your plant may be otherwise healthy and well fed. It is far more efficient for your plant to draw upon these "stored" elements that are in her leaves, such things as amino acids, sugars, carbs etc, than it is to make new vital elements during a high energy requiring activity, such as flowering. So, by removing healthy green leaves, you are not only reducing your plants ability to produce energy, you are also robbing her of vital growth elements that she has "stored" in those leaves. After growing cannabis for 35+ years, I am yet to see one plant that gets rid of her own healthy green leaves. Cannabis has evolved over 100s of 1000s of years to grow her best flowers, this does not include removing healthy green leaves. Plants can not "channel" energy, all energy produced is used through the entire plant. Removing healthy green leaves = less energy produced = less "stored" vital growth elements = slower growth = smaller growth. Your plant knows what to do. She will not get rid of healthy green leaves. She will however, shed old yellow leaves. Leaves you think are "shading" "bud sites" are actually the "solar panels" producing the energy for those "bud sites" to grow. It is that simple! So, in my opinion, people should not ever de-leaf their plants in the hope the plant will "channel" energy into flower growth. If she has had her healthy green leaves removed, she can't make as much energy, which causes slower and smaller growth. Try leaving all the healthy green leaves on your plant next time you grow, you may be surprised by her extra vigour and larger flowers. I guarantee it! Hope this helps,.... Organoman. P.S. - I do however believe in well considered, light, "lollipopping" of small flowers, but leaving the leaves in place to produce energy. This has demonstrable benefits.

Right now looks like everything is on track. I don't see a reason to defoliate yet. Keep it steady! 🤘😤
