My girl is short and dense due to early manifolding and LST. The center is crowded and there's not much light penetration or air flow there, though I do have fans going. I'm tempted to defoliate some older leaves crowding the center. Don't want to stunt it, though. Thoughts?
Each node is getting light I would leave her alone. Don't want to risk stunting her more! Now when those top leaves cover lower nodes, yes.. remove the inner top leaf so the lower nodes can get light. Do it slowly one or two leafs each day not to stress her! Good luck!
I recommend not cutting the one in the middle, Instead try gently bending it down with your hand, Please be cautious to avoid breaking it, as the top part relies on those leaves later on you can cut them 🍻
