Trimming fan leaves

Is it OK to trim the large fan leaves off? I am going to start LST in a few days and removing them would allow more light to the lower nodes?

I'm thinking plants that young need the fan leaves to take in light to support plant growth. I wait until LST is almost done before starting defoliation.

In the younger stage it's best to just tuck them out of the way, later on in late veg is when I do a little trimming.

No its better to keep em if yiu wantbreal result otherwise you are going bonzai. Yiu'll be ubder the impression that yiu have more.. but everything is growing smaller.. just bent the leaf unders instead... I pet my leaf down once a day. And slow the nutrient uptake at the apex by crushingvthe stem. After 3 weeks the liwer branch is as long as the top.. and i haven't removed anything.
