if I hang my light 24 inch from the plants as oppose to 16 inch, will the plants grow taller to try and stretch for light of will they grow more the closer I have the light due to stronger light? 650w light plants not even 2 weeks old

friends help!! what is the problem with my plants!?the problems started with the second week of growth on the solution EC 0.7 pH 6.3 in the end when I saw that the plants were starting to look bad I was advised to raise the E小 to 1.1 in the end I raised the E小 and adjusted the pH 6.0 and they stood for a couple of days on this
