Heyy Nice work!! I personally when growing in soil don't flush much anymore if at all. I use to do a week or 2 flush but the plants would be starving!. anyways since I pretty much stopped flushing I have not notice a difference in taste at all. what i will do instead of a week long flush is on the last two day before cut use just plain pH'd water and i have had great results👍 Now if I see some salt build up at the bottom of the pot i will do maybe a 3 day flush. Also another thing I will do is slightly lower the nutes as it gets closer to finish say like the last week an half until I'm a no nutes for the last 2 days. Now I have had plants finish early where I was only able to water once with plain water and there wasn't hardly any overflow when i did an had been feeding nutes all up until harvest but that one watering and it came out the same as if i were to flush. Now if your were in hydro then yeah i would say flush definitely, but I look at it this way with soil as long as your not using any heavy chemical fertilizers no real need to flush because if its grown in the ground outside there's no way your going to flush out the earth around it to get the stuff out of the soil you know? Any ways I hope this helps and if you have any further ?'s don't hesitate to ask. Happy Growing😊

Hey Spacetaste, great question, there was a scientific study recently that analysed the bud with and without flush and it says that there's no difference in the mineral and nutrient make up with or without flush. So these scientists then say "therefore flush is not important". However this is wrong , that just means that , the minerals and nutrients dont affect the smoothness of the taste as much as something else they haven't measured. Many growers, i would say most growers agree that a two week flush in soil does have a pretty big and pretty good impact on the final taste and smoothness of the smoke. I dont really see what you mean about the "potential loss of quality", there's no risk of losing quality by watering with plain water. I do recommend a two week flush minimum, but i dont flush the plants more like just watering until run off with plain water - no need to go overboard and stress or hurt the plant with a flush. So to answer your question : yes there's a pretty big difference in taste and quality of the final product. Hope this helps ! 🚀
