yop bigDaddyK ! the first Reason if you have thrips in your home in indoor (wich normally is a complete controlled aera) means that you let them in 😉you have to finds wich parameters sucks to fix them… (sometimes it s just because we re-use ancient infected soil 😜...but all the time there is a reason) but i'am conscious it s sometimes hard to find this/these Reason(s) So if you can't find and fix the problem...to my point of view there is only tree things that you can do ! first homemade tip : to limit action : blue chromatic glue traps ! this can just help you to limit their travel…. strangely thrips are attracted by bright blue color ! expensive but you have bio fight to curing : it s not often easy to find (dépends of where you leave ) buy some insect predator to thrips...but it's best to buy them directly to a specialised store...if you Don't have this be sure that the website wich sell this have a good packaging system wich let them live during shipping time... the third and for me the best is to prevent infections… that mean's thinking before to prepare the best media culture to avoid this problem. and you have to use fungies ! to fight against pets it is really interresting ! some strain of trhicoderma are incredibly usefull… same for etco-mychorhizae but they need a biotope to correctly be used to do their job. specifics thricodermas when it's completly fixed in symbiosis with root's weed have the amazing abilitie to move through the veines to the leaves as a mobile nutrient...so it could disturbing thrips activities… and if ur fungies soil's activation is correctly done they can infected thrips to the death there is a lot of sort of thrips...the larger part lay their eggs on calyx or leaves...and others lay direclty in soils...but eggs layed on upper part lives 5/8 days their lifes on leaves before falling into the soil to become a larva… and if you built a good shield protections on your soil they re going to die 😜 totally dude !! 👍 i Don't talked about pure neem oil wich is a Fucking good bio-weapon...but in my opinion you only have to use it before flowering on foliar and soil (to kill larvas) when flowering time has began do not use it….real neem oil smell really far from flower odor 😖 his effect is simple : neem oïl get molecule that passes through the chitin of pets (their shell) she induce a perpetual effect... a message to pet wich say i have eaten enough..so pets stop feeding...and die 😜 but if u plan to use real neem oïl there is one rule : you have to dilute it in good proportions with bio black soap in order to increase effect of each other...because oïl and water are not soluble without that😉 now we can find some products already dilued but expensive ^^ if i can make here an avertising ^^ feel free to folllow my diary dude ! i build it like an experimental board journal...and i'm going to talk about fungies and symbiosis….may be it could interest you 👊 and feel free to participate hope this help 🙏

Just found this grow question. Since you were only begining to flower at week 6 you could have used a simple contact solution of insecticidal soap or fragrance free liqiud soap mixed with water. Spray them at lights out and make sure the leaves are dry before the light come back on. Then rinse the entire plant off with water after 24-48 hours to remove the soap residue. I would not try this if the buds were in a later stage of development.

Hi i had this problem. The thing is Thrips lay eggs in the fan leaf cells so you will be needing to trim and trow away a lot. Buy Orius insidiosus (its a bug that eats Thrips), also called the minute pirate bug. This will help you in the long run. Get them now so you get the Thrips under control. It loves to hide in flowers.

I used tobacco tea. 2 full cigarettes to 1 liter of water over night. Spray once a day. Four days straight. Risk - plant leave yellow in the middle of the leaves after a couple of days. Plant may contract tobacco mosaic virus. I do not smoke so had to get a pack of cigarettes for. So I used 6 cigarettes per liter which was way too strong. 2 will do the job. But the duration has to be long enough to kill 2 generations of thrips. In my temperature, that is four days. Spray the ground also.

Go with the ladybugs. I throw about 100 in my room before flower as a preventative measure. Keep in mind though... The adult lady bugs really dont eat a lot. They are really just looking to reproduce. After they lay eggs and the nymphs hatch they will do the work of cleaning up any pests in your room then make their way out when all the food is gone. I would also try out some maxigro / maxibloom if you continue to have ph fluctuation. My system holds ph all week once I get the initial adjustment. You dont have to add any other nutrients except calmag if you use ro water. It makes life easier for me

Hey you can do as Northnut mentioned and that will kill them. Or if you want to a simple way to try to get rid of them before you go an little harsher method you can make a cinnamon spray by adding 2-4 Tbs of cinnamon powder into hot water it best to get the water almost to a boil if not boiling them have the powder already in another container/jug that you will be able to shake up with the hot water in it. then after you shake it let it sit for 12-24 hours, strain then spray the bugs hate the smell of it and it may kill them as well. I use it anytime I see a sign of any type of bug. Happy Growing!!

I had a slight problem with these. Wanted to take care of them right away so I went to Canadian tire and bought some insecticidal soap (bug b gone), I also heard dish soap mixed with water and sprayed onto plant works too. If going the store route make sure the soap you buy is safe for spraying and consuming. Hope this helps!
