Radio Interference from lights

4x4grows
4x4growsstarted grow question 3 years ago
Has anyone had to deal with an amateur radio enthusiast neighbour? 😂 Some lights (mine was a cheap 600w LED) give off radio interference. My neighbour was complaining that our place was the cause of it. I needed up moving the grow. How did you deal with it?

It all depends on your equipment. I assume poorly shielded power supplies can create noise. My guess is LED's would be less problematic than HID or HPS but who knows. If the guy is decent I'd enlist his help. Your both geeks. One for ham radio and the other for... botany. He might like helping find the source of the problem and come up with a solution. A friend will tolerate a lot but you piss off a neighbor and you will pay for everything.

My father was a keen radio amateur and he never complained to me about anything. And trust me he would have definitely let me know lol It was actually his radios were so powerful it used to blur tv’s up and down the street
