You can obviously grow cannabis in natural sunlight.. but to optimize yields you want as much control over the environment as possible, air flow, light cycles, humidity, etc. I’m assuming you’re growing inside because it’s too cold to grow outside, which likely also mean you have limited daylight hours. If you were to run an auto on a 12 hr light cycle you’d get dramatically lower yields than 16/8. If it’s warm enough and the sun is up enough hours of the day, the best place to grow would be outside. The humidity in your house is also likely lower than optimal 30-40% rather than ~60% so you’ll get less vigorous vegetative growth.

Your plant will need at least 6 hours of DIRECT sunlight on its leaves each day, preferably more. A bright room with reflected sunlight will not be enough for proper photosynthesis. Be aware though that your plant will not receive UVB, as glass stops it from penetrating. You can only try, all advice is theoretical and the only real way of finding out, is to actually do it. Hope this helps and good luck,........... Organoman.
