Like the others, i'd say invest in a quality light that can do you good seed to harvest. Depending on efficacy, you'd need 110-120watts for photoperiods and maybe 75watts for autoflowers. the better-distributed the light over that area the better. Efficacy of light is cause for the range of watts needed. Higher efficacy generally lasts longer, too / less heat radiated in tent. if you are looking to overlap a bit and shave some time off between harvests, a 50-75w light will do you well covering a couple square feet or a 1020 tray and go even smaller to cover less area. Depending on efficacy probably want 22-30watts per sq ft on an 18/6 light cycle -- Maybe not for a seedling, but they'll need fairly strong light not too long after if stretching to 2 weeks under this light.. it can be as simple as some 20-30w tube light if just 1 week of time under it. get it nice and close to the plants and they'll get enough for 6-7 days. work backward from what you want.. get the size you need.

@Angus_MacGrower I have looked at the Aray1 since I'm very happy with my Aray4 but I think I will lose a lot of covarage since I have limited height and plant will need to be fairly close to the light source. I do think I need a bigger footprint light to get an even spread with the light being so close to the plants. Planing to have about 4 plants in there. The space I´m using is actually my first prototype of a modular grow tent.

@Wicket @gottagrowsometime I know I don't need second light for all the stages but I do want to save time, so want to use a second space to start my seeds in while I´m still in flower in my grow tent. I do use the Photon app to deal my main light in.

I second that, just get a grow light which is dimmable and is suitable for your growspace. normally grow lights, at least halfway good ones, come with a manual which tells you the power and distance you need for each grow stage. so for example you only use like 25% of the power in the beginning or even less and even closer to the plants, depends. so you don't waste any energy. like that you don't waste money on another light which you use only for 2 weeks anyway.

You really don't need to buy diff lights for stages. Just use lux and if your light has veg or bloom settings then use them, but, a full spectrum light is all that's needed. Using lux or the % from the light maker. 25-35%. A simple phototone app you'll be able to get its highest power by settin it at 100% and getting your lights full power. And by either height or % of lights power (using a lux / tone app) you'll quickly get the measure of your phenos needs. .
