Yes. Topping does not cause gigantic growth, just longer branches. Autos are best left alone apart from some light LST if anything, but nothing else, not even defoliation. Defoliation reduces your plants capacity to produce energy, therefore slowing growth. All cannabis will grow its fastest and biggest with all leaves left in place to make energy.
