Hi there, not recommend to defoliate if there isn’t a good reason to do.Like do some defoliation to lower down tent humidity,to make a good air flow if too bushy.Defoliate some leaves If they are damaged or shaded below the canopy.May be some lollipopping if there are too many popcorn buds underneath.Other than those, shouldn’t do.Those fan leaves are acted like extra sources of energy for plants.Only recommend to defoliate at the start of flowering circle and again at 3rd week of flower or at the end of stretching period.Later that period ,you shouldn’t stress the plant anymore and let her grow happily until harvest.Happy Growing... ✌️

Your plant is relying on every leaf it has to make the energy she needs to grow her biggest and best flowers. Removing big fan leaves will reduce her capacity to make energy drastically, slowing growth and leading to potentially smaller growth. People who defoliate and say "my plant grew fine, look at the big buds" are kidding themselves - had they left the leaves on, their plant would have grown even more and had even bigger buds! The "shaded potential bud sites" are actually relying on those big leaves to make the energy for them to grow their best, making removal counter productive. Besides, in 2-4 days those "potential bud sites" (branches) will have grown out from beneath those leaves anyhow! Cannabis has evolved over millions of years to grow her biggest and best flowers. Getting rid of perfectly healthy, green, energy producing leaves for no reason or benefit, is not part of that process. In over 35 years of growing, I have never seen a plant that sheds healthy green leaves at any time, ever! Hope this helps,.......... Organoman. (and vehement anti defoliation crusader!)

This is the point where i take of all big fanleaves even the 2 biggest on top, i got a diary or 2 of some same looking auto "tangiematic" yielded around 140 grams dry. Your plant is healthy and she will not feel any stress by taking them off

Yeah, this plant needs some defoliation it's a bush. Lol. I defoliate autos all the time, the key is to remove the fan leaves that are covering future bud sites.
