Defoliate or LST?

Defoliate or LST? Both Grapefruit and Bruce Banner are ready for some love but due to the short bushy nature of this grow, if we LST and start bending the plants their leaves will end up touching the soil. Would it be better to remove a couple of fan leaves to let light in?

Don't top it, whatever you do! Autos do NOT like to be topped or have any major stress inflicted on them! They don't have time to recover from it. I'd wait a bit to do the LST ... you want to see some stretch between the nodes - and then, if you don't want to bend them over, you could do something as simple as tucking the large fan leaves under and behind.

its better to lst and tuck leaves under the growth tips imo. you can defoliate but autos are, well autos so its kinda best not to fiddle with them too much.

Remove lower branches on this grow?Should I just remove the lower branches or keep them? They are getting pretty heavily shaded but I rotate the grow bag daily to expose the under canopy growth. This is the only plant I have ever not been able to LST the main Cola, I opted to top it and LST'ed the lower branches.6y ago

Too much trimming up top?I read defoliating throughout week 3 of flower is around the last time you should trim. I cleaned up the bottom real well, but Do you think I trimmed too many fan leaves up top? A lot my bud sites have one fan leaves and the nodes under it have none at all?

Any thoughts on these trichomes? Plant is only about 6 weeks through flowering, but the trichomes looks super milky and somewhat amber, and its about 80% red hairs. Strain is supposed to be an 8-9 week flowering period.
I prefer higher proportion milky, but this seems early....Week 9
