Flushing soil due to tds ppm?

CannaIGrow

I got a TDS meter last week and with my feeding 2 days ago I tested the run off and got a ppm of out of limits for the meter. I think it stops reading around 5000ppm. So now my next question is should I flush the soil. Thinking about using sledgehammer or flora kleen.

As long as your plant looks good and is not showing any signs of burn then feed straight pH water until the runoff gets to a good ppm. Flushing all at once can wash away good microbes in the soil.

First figure out what it stops read out at. Mine is 2000ppm, or 4ec. Then like other said, give just water. If you use a flushing agent, it will bind to the molecules and make them unavailable to the plant but will see them react to a TDS pen as its testing how conductive the solution is, not really measuring the parts per million. Can use the flush water in a veg garden if you have it. just dilute it down and spread it aorund, something might as well get use out of it. Good Luck!

Everything looks healthy no need to flush. No reason to try and make a healthy happy plant unhappy. Just continue the lst on her. Looking good!

Yeah. I got to a point where I hit 8500ppm. Its nutrient lock is all. All you can do is flush and restart your nutrients. Hard flush with water. Flush everything out. And let it dry out and then restart it. 1-2 base nutrient feeds a week. And follow up with water behind Good luck.
