Well earlier I decided to install my new hps dual spectrum & ballast as was advised to swap from cfl
Just gone to check on it b4 bed & oh boyyyyyyy it's stifling in there....nearly 50°c 😖😖😖 it's 2am so I've raised the light as high as possible until I wake up then swap 2 cfl

I had a CFL that was pushing me to 30oC+ and I thought thay was hot! - I've got a 60x60x160 tent and I've just got a Mars TS 600 - temperature is steady around 25oC and my plant seemed to love finishing off under it - only like too for apparently 50,000 hours life span.

Do you have a extractor fan. 50c is very hot, to hot. You might be better using the hps in winter when you may need the extra heat. I grow in a tent in my loft. Loft temps at the moment are 30c without anything running. I use a marshydro ts1000, it produces a bit of heat but no way near as much as a hps. To combat the heat or help manage it I vent my hot air out the tent to the outside and I draw air in from the outside. I draw air in from the coolest side of the house. You really need to get on top of that heat. Environment is so crucial. Hope you get on top of it.

Light intensityMy plants have been looking sad for a couple weeks. Tried everything then the other night I turned my light down to 40% giving a DLI of 28 they perked right up with 24 hours. I have now put it up to 60% giving a DLI off 39 will this be ok or should I keep it low. Week 2 flower.

Eyeball and advise on my set up, and is this seedling stretching?Is my set up good until my humidifier comes? (using inflow air from in-line fan with a tray of water for humidity for now).

Which lightSo I’m a new grower and I have the mars ts600 for flower and veg but I’m looking at getting some more power when in flower. I dunno whether to get another of the same light which is 100w or go for the mars ts1000 with is 150w but with both ts600 I would be pulling 200w together
