Is my lighting too high

Hardcunt12

As can be seen on first image plant leaves got trapped inside seed casing for a day or 2 before it fell off, not sure if I have my light to high as my plants steam is 3+ inch in length

@Hardcunt12 Hahah love the name 😁 When they are as young as that they require a lot less light so I think you have it set about right mate 👍

Your plant looks like it is off to a good start. Your stem may have stretched a little more than usual because the shell stick on it but it is looking good now. Since you are using cfl lighting you can move it to about 12 inches from the plant. Just hold your hand above the seedling for a minute and make sure it isn't getting hot. Good luck!

Hi @Hardcunt12 your light looks great like that, your plant is stretching well. at this stage they don't need a lot of light to grow well and are sensitive to heat and very strong light can affect them. good luck mate 😎👍

It should be ok mate. If your lights are too high the stem should be irregular. Thinner near the medium and thicker as more near you are to the source of light.

Yo what’s up! I wouldn’t be worried about the casing getting stuck I’ve had multiple where I’ve had to remove the shell myself. As for the light I see you’re using a 125w cfl and i would personally get it as close as 10cm. I just got through a seedling with 250w cfl being 10cm away. Any further and they’ll be stretching for the light. Hope this helps, good luck!🌱
