Should i Top the plant at this stage or just let it grow straight? Plant had some stress.. light burn and Nutes unbalance. (please see diary for details)

Are the gals safe to top or are they too stressed?I've heard that you shouldn't top your ladies while there are any deficiencies or issues as it can be extremely stressful. Bottom leaves yellowish - why? And can I top?On both of my plants (C99 & S.A.D.) the bottom leaves are turning yellowish and I can't figure out why.
