If you got the time to veg for 6 or more weeks, Iâd go for a single plant in a 7-10 gallon pot personally, doing some topping/manifolding to make the plant spread out horizontally. I just canât see an efficient use of space with 2 plants in a 2x2. However, If you went for 4 plants, you could do a SOG type set up and get away with a shorter veg time. But in that scenario you are having to deal with 4 different plants, where as you could keep it simple with one and just increase your veg time to allow it to grow into that 2x2 area.
Iâve been using 5,7 & 10 gallon pots lately to experiment with what each can do.
So ultimately, I say either one plant or 4. Two doesnât make sense to me. If you go with 1 plant Iâd use 5+ gallon pot. If you go for 4 plants Iâd say use 2 gallon pots.
PS This is all assuming youâre in soil and not coco.
Good luck!
