I would do the math to calculate the pressure at the plate. Ones with a mechanical arm like that can work well but only with a smaller packet size. Every one I have seen included plates too large for the force so you either press light or use a smaller bag of product so the force is concentrated in a smaller area.

Not used this model but similar models and they do work, or you can make your own with a 2 ton Jack and a little ingenuity.

Soil problemsSo I have switched my grow medium to soil and perlite from Bat-special. I give my plants 2L of water every 4 days but the soil never holds the water as all of it comes out the bottom. is this normal? there is so much runoff. 2L of water shouldn't be pouring out a 25L pot.
