POT SIZE

Outdoor BlackWater OG Kush and it has been outside since about early/middle of May. Early on the growth was very slow, but the last 2 months have really showed her true genetics. She has grown into a complete monster of a plant and not sure a 3 gallon pot will do for flower?

As others have said; it basically boils down to "bigger pot, bigger harvest" - It'll work to flower in the 3 gal but if you put her into a larger pot (say 5gal, 7gal, or even 10-15gal if you like) She'll certainly grow into a real monster.

A plant that size should be fine in a 3 gallon pot, but 5 would be better. You can still transplant up to the second week of flowering. If you do transplant her, just use fresh soil and don't give any teas or dry amendments until she has settled into her new home for at least 2 weeks. If she were in a five gallon much earlier, I would expect her to be 4-5 feet tall by now. Cheers, Organoman.

I have some 5 gallon fabric pots sitting around and plenty of dry ammendments. Brewing up a tea right now for all my plants. So...do you think I am better am just top dressing the pot it is in already and giving them the tea...or transplanting into a 5 with ammendments and tea? I am leaning towards just keeping it in the 3 and top dressing with a tea and recharge once or twice a week seeing as I wouldn't be able to transplant until atleast a week because I need to purchase more living soil because I ran out during my last transplants. Been using Coco for the last few runs. Don't want to put a good tea into a pot thats going to be transplanted a few days later so Ill probably just keep it in the 3 and run one of her clones in a 5 and see the difference.

Hi, your plant looks like it will be ok. However, if you wanted to plant her in a 5 gallon—- it shouldn’t hurt. More nutrients with fresh soil would help the flower transition. Either way, you would be fine. Good luck! ✌️🏻💚🌿💨

The cannabis plant does most of its root growth in the vegetative stage. Now that the plant is shifting into flower it's going to put most of its energy into producing buds instead of growing roots. I'd say you should be okay in that same pot by the looks of the pics. 👍
