DWC air pump

Anyone with previous experience, what's the minimum/optimum size pump for my air bubbler? I have a cheapo single line pump, I'm assuming it's enough but not optimum. Can anyone put a number on it in cfm? Is more always better? At what point do you reach diminishing returns?

Depending on your set up you just need to be able to provide enough oxygen for your plants roots. I have used a single DWC pot and a cheapo airpump with no issues. I’d say the cheap one would have struggle to provide for anymore than two or three plants. If your doing more than one plant you can buy pumps with multiple airlines on them. If you put your bubbler in the pot with the airpump attached and you see plenty of bubbles floating to the top you’ll be fine. I’m currently using my cheap pump to oxygenate a 30L res… Good Luck
