I just flipped the timer to 12/12. I am running a 600 w phlizon led. Approx 24 inch from top of plant. Should I be closer or farther away when flowering with the light?

There are light meter apps that are a big help in setting your lights. Instead of guessing you can measure the light intensity at the top of your plants and set the light accordingly. I think the manufacturer is optimistic with their height recommendations. Their recommendations look very safe/conservative so you might not get your full yield potential.

I’m sure if you do a bit of research on the manufacturer’s website, they should have recommended light distances in their specifications. I would follow what they recommend. 24 inches away seems reasonable.
