Will coco wick up?

I was thinking of using coco coir for my next grow still doing ebb and flow. My question is will the coco wick solution up? So if I only fill my tray 3 in” and use 8” tall pots will it work?

Not sure if it will wick, But I would not recommend trying. You will have a lot of salt buildup in the bottom which will burn the roots when they reach it. You would also have to cover the tray to not have any light leaks so you don't culture bad bacteria a get root rot. If you do. PM me your results or diary for me to follow. I'm very curious

I imagine making a mixture of 50% old soil and 50% new

Mold on soilI used BioBizz LightMix with Monsterbud Mix from Amnesia and some mycorrhiza in the hole of the seed. 3 seeds after 3 days still not germinated in soil. Had foil on top of the pots for humidity. Probably watered a bit too much. What should I do and will my seeds still germinate?

Overwatered cubes in hydro? Too close to the sun? or effect of having addHi All, I have issues with my first hydro grow - i effed up. I think i was too slow in the transfer over in the tank. Light is 200 PPFD, EC at 0.6, and barely added any nutes.

soil not accepting waterSo last Sunday I watered in a little less than a gallon for each, in 7-gallon pots. the bottom is soaking wet, but about 1/2 inch down the soil seems bone dry. I got a dehumidifier to regulate and keep the humidity in 50%.
When i opend the deposit of the water of the dehumifier i found these little flies that are the classic Substrate fly (nasty but no harm).
Do yall think that the dehumidifier got them? Has this even happened to U4 years ago

My inflow was 300
My outflow was nearly 2000
I calibrated my bluelab pen to ensure accuracy.

Ph of the soilPh of the soil, I checked with this 2 ph meter but I dont know the credibility, if that work.. I see that is around 8.0 but I use water at 6.0ph and soil light mix biobizz, bio grow ,calmag , bio heaven. Are biology shouldn't change the ph.. how is possible? Advise?
