Will coco wick up?

I was thinking of using coco coir for my next grow still doing ebb and flow. My question is will the coco wick solution up? So if I only fill my tray 3 in” and use 8” tall pots will it work?

Not sure if it will wick, But I would not recommend trying. You will have a lot of salt buildup in the bottom which will burn the roots when they reach it. You would also have to cover the tray to not have any light leaks so you don't culture bad bacteria a get root rot. If you do. PM me your results or diary for me to follow. How does this soil mix look?Running 65% ProMixBX, 25% Castings, and 10% perlite. With 5 tbsp each of crab, feather and fish bone meal as well as 2.5 tbsp each of kelp meal and bat guano. (20 tbsp total for 10 gallons, 2tbsp per gal) Is this too hot for autos?

noticed the ph in the Pots is at 6.5+, something to do with the Hydroton. In order to balance it i had to drop the res PH to 4.0, but it constantly rises back up to 6. Using RO water Suggestions appreciated, will the Hydroton eventually stop having the ability to raise my PH?
