is this dehumidifier bad?
MrBz21
started grow question 4y ago
Hello! I'm just wondering if this sort of dehumidifier is somehow harmful to our plants. The fact it has a tablet and that it claims to remove 70% of smell let me suspicious.

Ya I would say this is a no go. Stick with normal dehumidifiers or if smell is an issue look up ona gel. Good temporary solution but works great.

Hi guys, I have ordered an inline fan and carbon filter with temp and humidity controller by spiderfarm. Will I still need the normal fans or does this replace the need for them? Thanks guys

Slowing a two speed inline fan
Can I run a fan speed controller with a dual speed inline fan? My 4” two speed fan is slightly too powerful for my grow room. I’d like to slow the fan slightly but I have heard the these types of controllers don’t work with two speed fans? Any advice or what to buy to do the job?

Humidistat levels vary wildly between Inkbird and ETI humidistats..
I have two humidistats, one is an Inkbird 200 for control, the other is ETI 810-195 just for display.. The ETI is showing roughly 9-10% higher humidity levels compared to the Inkbird. Does anyone know which is more accurate? I want it get these humidity levels just right 👌🏼

grow tent / lung room temps???
Dialling in my tent and want to compare to others to see if more ventilation = lower temps. What temperature and humidity difference do you have in your tent and "lung room"? Do you exhaust your air from the tent to the outside of your lung room?

Do I really need a exhaust fan ?
If my 2x2 grow tent sits at 26c and 68% humidity without an exhaust fan do I actually need one ? The top of my tent, the vent is open and I’ve opened the observation window at bottom to allow air in. I’ve two fans, one at canopy level and one in top corner opposite the top vent ?

Do you think this is a better position for carbon filter so it can have better airflow or is it more important to scrub air from the top and have 2 90 degree bends? I'll probably try this in my next grow. Pic with drying plants is setup from before with 2 90 degree bends.

Made a purchase for some clip on fans.. but they’ve arrived and are non-oscillatory. 😑😑😑 What do we think return them for oscillating fans or keep and just move them around/set them on a schedule.. 😫

Mycelium or Fungus - Too much Part 2
I am seeing a ton of mycelium on all of my autopots. Because I have a bottom feed system, it is hard to keep my top medium wet without getting mold. Is this going to effect my end result if I do not do anything about this? Should I leave it alone or put sand on it? Thanks all

How to deal with high (80% ) humidity during flower without dehumidifiers
First time grower, I'm in W-Europe and will have around 21-27°C, 75-85%RH in my 70x70x160cm tent, Not more humid than air outside it. Getting a dehumidifier isn't an option for me. Any advice on how to still manage through mid to late flower from someone who's in the same boat?
