GrowCNanswered grow question 3 years ago These days availability is just as important as anything else. Is the tent you want in stock? After that I look at the overall size. I want one that has an all metal frame and NO plastic corner pieces. Then I look at the door and vent locations for my needs. I don't store anything inside my tent so storage pockets are not important to me. Make sure any tent you choose has sufficient cross bars at the top to support your equipment (lights, fan/filter...). I think a 48x48" tent should have two moveable cross bars at the top minimum but three would be better.
I have used three tent brands; Vivosun, Opulent Systems and Melonfarm. All are "cheap" brands but have performed very well. I think the Vivosun is the best quality. Melonfarm is the lowest quality of all three but it is still my main grow tent and it gets used year round so even the bad one is pretty good. All the tents are good for blocking light but I suppose a premium tent with heavier fabric could be better.

Any carbon filter life will depend on how it is used. Air flow, strong smells, dust and pollutants in the air will affect the life. I replace grow tent filters about every 12 months but I rarely run my vent fan above level 5. I am still using the original filter in my drying tent and it is over 2 years old so how much you use it has a huge impact on how long it will last.
"...last with active in and outake..." You only need a carbon filter on the outlet to capture smells. Fresh air can be drawn into the tent without filtration. If smell is not a problem (like exhausting outside) then you do not need a carbon filter.

I am glad you mentioned the AC Infinity fan. All my fans are their Cloudline series with programmable controls and I LOVE them. Being able to program the temperature and humidity to tell the fan when to run is a big help and makes keeping good conditions inside the tent much easier. And, the fan is super quiet. Below level 3 it is almost silent but as you get above level 5 the sound of air movement is noticeable. The fan is still quiet but at higher settings you can hear the air moving through the ducts.
