Which node is number 1

When counting nodes for the first topping, which node is number 1? The cotyledons? First single serrated leaf? 1st 3 fingered leaf? I'm counting pairs of leaves as those are where the nodes are, just not sure which to count as number 1. Personally, i say first 3 fingered leaf

When to start training for my plant in veg stageLooking to start lst on my plant at 3 weeks veg… question is from a first timer. Mainline/Manifold: Trimming fan leaves after done with topping.Finishing up the topping portion of mainlining. P2 to be Nebula-Haze style and P3 to be Nugbuckets style.
