This specific plant shows a high amount of auxin growing hormone and will not be the easiest to bring all flat and even.
Chopping down of a node could be a solution, you would still have 6 main branches witch is nice =)
However, why do you bend down the lower branches as well? If your goal is to have an even canopy, letting the base growing up to catch the top would be the best =) Plants naturally grows from the top to get taller and that is where it send it's energy. If you bend all branches to horizontal, the plant have no signal to send it's energy to the lower shoots. If you bend the top or top branches, other lower branches gets more energy and hormones to promote more growth.. Hope this make sense as english is my 2nd language.
