I usually mix cal mag 1st and then anything else with nitrogen in.

If you are using silica (potassium silicate) it should be used first. Check ph after that as some times it is unbuffered and can spike ph too high which might cause other nutes to precipitate out. If it does spike ph use a little ph down to bring back down to 7ish Add cal-mag Add base nutes Check ph again as most times base nutes will drop ph a bit (why you ph'd down to 7 ish) Ph down some more to get to 5.8ish and you're set. I know the silica I used a while back did not spike my ph which made life easy. Took well water, hit with silica, calmag, base nutes, ph down to 5.8, into reservoir.

Are you sure you need cal/mag? Not everyone really does and often good multi-part nutrients have some cal/mag already. I wouldn't plan on using it unless you find you have a deficiency.

Depends on what nutrient you are using. If your nutrient require you to mix them in a certain order. Add the cal mag in at the beginning or then end. If your using the brand Remo nutrients it doesn’t matter what order you mix them in. If you haven’t yet got nutrients I recommend you pick up a Remo Supercharged kit. It includes its own cal mag (called magnifical) and everything else needed to grow. Good luck bro.

Yeah I’m same as Hashy. I don’t hydro but I mix in my cal mag first. You probably already know but let your tap water sit for 24 hours to evaporate off the chlorine in the water. Good luck on your grow.
