Harvesting was done way too early. What a bummer to have work this hard for weeks and sacrificing the best of your plant, I feel for you.
First advice would be for next time: don't chop that early. She needed at least 3-4 more weeks. There is a few things that can be done if it happens again. Moving your light and using it as side lightening would be the simplest. Also you could have supercropped the tallest shoots. Using windstress from early start is a great way to contain height.
PH in soil is not as important as for an hydro grower. 6.5 is the sweet spot. Do you re-use your soil? If you recycle your soil you can check the pH once before planting to see where it stands. Take a handful of soil and mix it with equal part of distilled water, let sit and take the measure. You can then decide to add lime to raise itor sulfur to lower it. Then it will depends on your water. Water pH can be lowered with baking soda or raised with lemon juice.
