I’ve read and researched but wanted to get the consensus of the community.
I recently switched my lights to 24hrs. My plants are photo period sprouts. Is 24 hrs too much for the first 5 weeks or should I go back to 18/6?
After week 5 I plan to flip it to 12/12 for flowers.

Hey skunk. I run mine 24/7 as long as I can. 24 hour light has been proven to increase cannabis growth in every laboratory test that has been done. The only thing that is debated on it is whether the difference in growth outweighs the cost of the additional light hours. That will be debated forever. So yeah it you don't mind the cost beam the lights to them! I personally feel better about my grow knowing I am giving them all the light I can. I wouldn't go less than 18 in veg though. Howdy!
Honestly, with seedlings, I run 16/8 til they get true leaves, then switch to 18/6. For autos 20/4 or 24/0 is fine but I think it's a waste of electricity. It won't hurt but I like to think in terms of wattage use and such too. Hope this helps!

Defoliate or not?So here i have 3 GSC’s. One is growing real slow so I’ve not done LST. One the 2 that i have done LST which are bigger ive defoliated one a little bit just yesterday. I can already notice its growing taller now than the other.

Should I remove some of the dense foliage as I start LST, or wait? Other suggestions appreciated!The Durban Poison and Jack 47 are very dense, with tight nodes.
