I would leave them just as they are, especially now that they are flowering, any more heavy defoliation will stress them.
A small tidy up with some "lollipopping" and removal of smaller weaker growths maybe, but not too much.
Just remember, -
Less leaves = less energy = less growth.
Removing lower growth will not cause your top buds to somehow grow extra big, they can only grow as big as their genetic potential and by the health and care you give them. There is no extra or free energy available to your plants that comes out of thin air if you remove growth, all energy is made in the leaves.

P.S. - forget the molasses, it really doesn't do a thing, give them fulvic, humic and amino acids for a real, actual and quantifiable benefit!
