CFL bulbs also tend to die out quicker then LED diodes. but cost a lot less.
They also generate a bit more heat and have a lesser spectrum depending on what LED's you compare it with.
your bulb output is approx 16000 lumens and is not to to bad. It is about 250-290 PPFD in a ballpark figure, really ruff math estimate.
Similar to a 100w mars hydro led.
One option is you have is to return the CFL setup if its allowed and get a LED one that you may enjoy better.
If that's not a thing.
Try growing with just this and adjusting the height of the light to see how well it goes. It seems that hook might be able to take on other bulbs like HPS/HIDs
Remember don't touch the glass of the bulb only the base. Finger oils and salts will cause it to degrade much quicker.
I have a bias for leds, I think they are the best 2nd only to the sun. But other light sources work.
