I have a space bucket lying around and want to use the wick system with reservoir to feed my plant while also using an air stone to increase oxygen. Is this a successful route if I polyester wick to a fabric pot with FF soil or should my first grow just be standard soil?

I’m a soilless guy.. but have done soil grows. I don’t believe soil is a good candidate for a wick system..
