I sprinkled some worm castings on my soil and watered them in. My seedling exploded in growth in two days. How long does a small amount of castings last for nutrients? Should i add weekly as a top dressing?

For veging and bringing micronutrients and bacterial fauna into your soil - yes. But npk of worm castings is about 2-0-0. You will need basic npk nutes with higher N for veg and higher PK for flowering. Plus seedlings stems are very sensitive, can cause burning when you will be topuping. I used as early as week 4 for top dress, but I feed extra ... Think will it work only ... But find recent Lex Blazer video on YouTube, he had grow with almost no feed and made time lapse for it. Enjoy !

@MrGnat gday Mr Gnat you certainly are right about the instant effects worm castings can have on your plants overall general health and by top dressing with more on a weekly basis will only strengthen that health and vibrancy I have had my worm farms for years now and pretty much rely on it to provide the boost my soils need only suggestion I can make is to look into also using Mycorrhizae which will promote healthy roots and soil as well 👊👍

Worm castings have a NPK ratio of about 1-0-0 very safe you can sprinkle them on weekly if you wanted to, they will add a lot of weight and organic matter to the soil. They are great for microbial life as well. almost more so then as a fertilizer. Happy Growing!
