Is Early Aug too late to plant outside in the SE US…as far as light cycle? I’m gone early summer and will get a late start. Most likely Sativa strain like dream blue hat can take heat/humidity.

In a perfect world its a bit late, BUT I agree you can totally get a harvest in. You wont get big plants but you will get nice plants and quality should be top notch too. Go for Indicas- Something fast finishing in 7-9 weeks. And plant quite a few- if you would normally do 2 then do 4, or if normally you do 4 then do 8 ect and you should get a slightly smaller amount than usual. But totally worth doing.

Yes, far too late, there is no way they would finish outdoors before winter, especially a sativa strain. About 2 weeks after the equinox (June 21st) is the absolute latest for outdoor plants if you want any sort of reasonable harvest. Photoperiod plants need to be about 6 weeks old before flowering and then another 10-12 weeks of flowering, meaning your sativa plant would be trying to finish in December and the days are just too short for any meaningful growth at that time of year. I doubt an indica plant would do any better planted that late. BTW, sativas are better at mold resistance due to their more open flower structure, it is dense indicas that suffer the most from mold.

Hello. I know you are wanting a sativa but a fast flowering indicia will work a lot better for you. Indicia's can handle the mold and mildew better .Or try some auto flowering plants that will finish no matter the weather. Chuck.

Hey bro! Try getting clones that saves you at least two weeks of germination and slow growth.. I'm not living in the US but here (EU) plant's start their flowering cyce in August, that means you would get very small plants as they enter flowering as soon as they are strong enought. Maybe count with smaller plants and plant more of them..could that work for you? Good luck 🍀 ✌️
