When to start defoliate?

When should i start to defoliate? I have already removed some of the lower leafs that turned yellow. I plan on putting them into flower within 2 weeks, they already take up 1/4 (almost 1/3) of the grow height including pot. (if you recommend other techniques, feel free to say)

I agree with Organoman on the leaves, but make sure to remove the branches that are small and live in the shadow, since they will never produce you big nor powerful buds and only suck up energy that the plant could use on your primary buds. The big leaves the plant has are food storage reserves, but since we provide them nutrients and a perfect habitat they wont need them anyways. They only turn yellow when people flush 2 weeks before harvest. I don't flush so my plant stays green until the end.

All defoliation should be done 1 week before the flip. Then only defoliate in weeks 2&4 of flower. Cheers!

There is no need to defoliate at all. Just remember, More leaves = more energy being made = more growth. I only ever remove yellow leaves. If your plant would not need those leaves, it would not grow them in the first place, so why defoliate??

Hi again, I would say defoliate this weekend and early next week (if you are planning on putting them into flowering within 2 weeks. Try to bend the upper colas at the same high your lower colas are with LST so your plant have a equal cantopy and you are good to go :) Goodluck growing :)
