yes and i’ll also eloborate :) hydrogen peroxide helps breakin down the seed coat and allows more oxygen to enter the seed itself thus increasing germination rates. do a quick google search of hydrogen peroxide and corn seeds (zea mays l.) and you’ll see a study done on the subject and there was significant increase in germination rates with h2o2.

Hello. I can't think of the name of the fungus that is in water that is not good for starting clones or seeds. So I use filtered water. In 1 cup of filtered water I put 4 drops of 29% HP for cleaning the water and adding oxygen which latches on to anything organic and kills it like spores, bacteria and viruses. Cinnamon is antifungal and has similar properties to cloning gel that help give the seeds that extra boost. I add a small 1/8 of a teaspoon of cinnamon. If the seeds are old I'll add a little cloning gel too. This is my soak water for 24 hours and then on to the wet paper towel with the same soak water I just soaked the seeds in I pour on to the paper towel. Make sure everything is clean and sterilize everything you might touch the seeds with. I've read and haven't tried to clean the seeds from mold and finger oils, put the seeds in some strong HP for no more than 15 seconds and rinse right away with filtered water. If they are very old seeds soak for 48 hours in the soak water before putting them on the paper towel. Good Luck. Chuck.
