Ready to harvest?

Hey guys - this is my first ever grow so I'm totally winging it as I go along. Can you see the picture - is this ready to harvest? The trichomes look to be going cloudy to me - but I'm worried I'm just over eager!

Wait until there are 98-99% brown pistils, this is the harvest time and will put you in the "10-30% amber trichome" zone without having to look too closely and is also when the plant has peak THC, which is what everyone wants. Start you "flush" about 10-14 days before this, when your plant is at the 95% brown pistil stage. Following these guidelines is by far the easiest recommendation for new growers rather than trying to figure out exactly what is going on with trichome colours, which has many variables in my experience, all linked to genetics - like never getting amber trichomes in some strains and other strains having 70% amber after only 4-5 weeks of flowering...... all because of genetics. Going by this picture, you probably have 3 weeks or so still to go. 5 weeks of flowering is only about two thirds the way through...... Hope this helps, Organoman.

I'd like to see a photo of the WHOLE plant as well as a close-up of the trichs on this bud. To me, from just this photo (which is all we have to go on even looking at your diary!) the bud just looks much too small and you really can't tell the condition/color of the trichs. The pistils ARE starting to become brown which is a plus - but I think you've got a long way to go yet and the bud probably has a lot more fattening up to do. Good luck...

You answered yourself. You’re over eager. Looks like 10-14 days at least

High abreaky, She is not ready for harvest yet. If you really want to harvest precisely and make sure that your hard work during the grow will be rewarded with the best quallity possible. Then you should buy a pocket microscope x60. They are cheap and really the only way to know when to harvest. The other methods are just guessing. So my guess is 2 more weeks but with a microscope we can tell for sure! Happy Harvest! 😋
