I'll suggest to only cut off the infected areas of the plant and check the entire leaf for any other infection's. but only cut away the infected parts, it should be fine it will heal in a few days quick.

Which leaf is it,this offending leaf may be the difference between life and death,should I operate? What if I cut it and it gets infected? What if I take the whole leaf and it only had one on a twig and it just died? Best bet is to ask someone sensible,but I'd get a cup of Coco before you start reading and I don't mean the growing sort.
