auto finish time

StannabalLecter
StannabalLecterstarted grow question 2 years ago
do you find that the autos are on time with the breeder’s estimate of how it will take the plants to finish? my current grow is at day 70 from seed, and not nearly ready for picking. from my experience, this underestimation from the breeders is the norm.

Breeders want to sell seeds... and their estimate is the absolute EARLIEST you can get a harvest - and yes, they're usually (mostly) estimating the time to be far shorter than you can feasibly get.... Just listen to your plants, not the breeders... the plants will tell you when THEY'RE ready for harvest! Good luck!

No, they are not accurate. The ruderalis traits make it hugely variable even from seed to seed of the same strain. Buy photos - veg 30-40 days and flower 60. Get twice the yield, better flower, and spend approx 20-25% more time.. 🤷‍♂️

This is what I have found as well usually I usually add 10 days the breeder estimate..give or take depending on the plant. Im looking to Barneys Farm for my next autos they seem tempting. im not giving up on auto's yet. Great pic btw!

When it comes to autoflowers, there's a rule of thumb some of my friends use: Day 84 it's out the door.

Their estimates are pushed shorter and shorter due to marketing and the promise of fast bud to sell more seeds. Always go off the plant. I go over on every plant. I don't even look at times it is pointless
