Beetle invasion

So my entire region is under what you could call a hostile takeover from Elm Leaf Beetles. They are everywhere you go, in and on cars, in gardens, on screen doors, in the house. And most unfortunately, they have been getting all over my plants! Any way to rid these things?

Hello here's a couple of things you can try. Put tape, sticky side out around the stem from the soil to the first branch. Make sure no branches or leaves are touching the ground. Try Eucalyptus oil. Put it on cotton balls and place in the plant on the windward side so the smell travels through the plant. They will be gone in no time. You will need to put fresh oil once or twice a day. To make the plant taste bad try 6 to 8 drops of dish soap and 1 table spoon of Cayenne pepper to 1 gallon of water spray on the plant. Try not to get much on the roots. Put down some cloth to soak it up or plastic to help it run off. You will need to reapply if it rains. Good Luck. Chuck.

Gosh... never heard of them but they sound awful! If they like to chew on leaves, get yourself some BT which will taste so bad to them, they'll decide to have lunch elsewhere... and toddle off and die. You can pick this up at any local garden center or from Amazon - https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B074G46K6X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details GOOD LUCK! Sounds ghastly!
