New plants = new soil.
Trying to save money on this basic necessity is unwise.
You only get out what you put in!
Compared to the overall expense involved with growing, soil is only a minor cost.
You also run the risk of diseases destroying your next crop due to build up of pathogens in the used soil, not to mention problems with pH and residual nutrient salts.
Just don't do it, buy fresh, sterile, unpolluted soil and give your plants the best chance at life!
