I have many grow lights and move them around without trouble. The key is measuring the amount of light. You can get a light meter or a free app on your phone. Then look up your plant's daily light need on a DLI (Daily Light Integral) chart to tell you what intensity and how many hours you need to run the lights each day to provide the optimum amount of light. That way you can have very different lights but adjust them so they are very similar and switching between lights causes minimal stress on the plants.

300W would have been great all the way through to harvest... A lot of growers use 100W, I'm using 200W... 1000W is probably going to be WAY too much for your plant to ever need 100% of - and your electric bill is going to be pretty steep!

Ok Nice, cause I decided to buy the 1000w since I realised the 300w was not going to be enough strong throughout the lifespan of the babies. Nonetheless, the new lamp will arrive next week and I want to start germination this weekend. So I thought I could start with 300w and then switch to 1000w (moderated to veg) when it arrives!

You need most light during flower, some lights have dimmers for that purpose, during vegetation stage you dont blast them on max, but slowly go there together with girl size.
So its even smart to have veg and flower lights, electric cost millions now ....
In early stage of girl life you can do more harm, than any good with excessive light, try to replicate nature at home.
Spring sun is way colder and less intense than in summer.
Follow that .
