Is a 600 watt hps suitable for a 80x80x160 grow tent or is that over kill thanks

yeah set it to 250w and you'll be fine.I used to use 400w in a 90x90x180 tent with cooltube,that was good too. but either way you'll need a cooltube reflector. without cooltube, temps hit 33-34C easily.

Theirs a digital dimmer which can be turned down to 250 watt would that be ok is just comes as a full set

I would say it is way too big. A 200 or 250 watt would be more appropriate in my opinion.

Veg lighting approach? Switching from cfl to hps?I started my second grow a couple weeks ago with a 130w cfl in my 1m veg cupboard. I’m thinking I will make the switch to a 250w hps soon. I don’t want to overheat the space. Do you think this is a good strategy? I’ll flower the autos in my 1.4m tent with 600w hps.

Should I substitute sunlight with a grow lamp on cloudy days?It’s overcast here today and I’m wondering if I should turn my grow lights on to compensate for the lack of direct sunlight. If so, should I drop the intensity to compensate for the additional natural light? Can you overdo the amount of light (not heat) a plant gets?

Light distance and power with a 205W Sanlight LED Sanlight told me I should use it dimmed at 80% and 45cm when in flowering. I was aiming to reach lower buds so I put it at 100% and 50cm from the upper buds. The tips of the leaves are slightly burned but no bud bleaching yet like my last run (at 100% 45cm). What's best ? Lights airstone c02 What light to plant distance would you set it at? The only test I've done is at 25 inches its stable at 80°f and 75% humidity. When I lower it to 18 inches, the tent read 85°f and 73 humidity. Other question I have is what's your favorite air stone(disk)? Lastly, add c02 yes/no

is the 'greenfingers led grow light 2000w full spectrum' not very good compared to others?if you don't know the light you can google but there aren't any reviews i can find, compared to say spider farmer 4000 (or others) is it much worse or a little worse, etc? if that much worse when i can afford it someday should i buy another one and count this purchase as a loss?
