Tent is too hot

How can I cool my tent? Help! My tent stays at 85-88° F. Our house is 68° and I have 2 intake fans and one exhaust fan. I have a humidifier going. I have even resorted to putting metal bowls full of ice to try to drop the temp even a few degrees. Would a swamp cooler help?

if RH is already high, evaporative coolers do nothing. Raising RH can help mitigate high temperatures by slowign down transpiration. moving equipment out of tent can help, if they also maintain their functions outside of tent, of course. condensing air can cool a degree, maybe... blow air thrugh funnel or similar shaped objects will cause cooler air to come out other side. physics. An AC unit is about all you really can do if it becomes an issue... these suggestions will only help in borderline situations.

If you're not running co2 I would open up those bottom windows. Maybe put a box fan to blow air through the window.that at least what I'm doing in my tent. Also once a day I open her up and blow cool air in.

A swamp cooler should help, yes. You could also do what GrowingGrannie suggested and unzip your tent during the day. I leave my door to my grow room open the whole time the lights are on with a box fan in the doorway, moving air around the room. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I've never used one but a lot of people swear by the swamp coolers... I do something that is probably considered heresy... I unzip my tent. I unzip the door at the top when I want to cool it off and unzip it at the bottom when I want to lower the humidity and SOMETIMES I unzip the whole damn thing. I figure loss of light is better than losing an entire grow to heat stress or fungus... I'm sure a lot of people would tell me I'm crazy but it works for me and my autos.... Good luck!

Anonymous2022 my house is at max power. I tried another air conditioner in the room and kept tripping the breaker for the whole house hahaha. My idea for a swamp cooler would be able to work because it only uses the watts of a small fan instead of all the extra power pull.

Hi there Best way if your fighting against everything would be to add a Air con Machine to the room that your tent is in.. that way it would take in cool air through the intake and bring the temps down Best of luck 🌱

you on the top tolerance even for veg vpd chart, if you cant hold temperatures, play with humidity https://www.dimluxlighting.com/knowledge/blog/vapor-pressure-deficit-the-ultimate-guide-to-vpd/ i lived in static caravan, its tin can, sometimes had peaks up to 40 cel in flower, still made it .... for one , two weeks, they will make it with right humidity. put two out and one in, will ventilate better, plants will have negative pressure, that will help too. if have money, buy something serious one time. i spent 3x amount during career, till at every item i came to those "posh" one, weed is resilient plant ! Happy Growing !

Doing a perpetual grow. Started 2 every 2 weeks. I have separate jugs of water with different nutes. And they are all autos so they have the same light schedule. Light is 18 inches from the small ones and around 12-14 inches from the big girls. The last two went in the pots yesterday. I'm noticing burned edges and drooping. And some curling on the new growth.
