Slowing a two speed inline fan

Can I run a fan speed controller with a dual speed inline fan? My 4” two speed fan is slightly too powerful for my grow room. I’d like to slow the fan slightly but I have heard the these types of controllers don’t work with two speed fans? Any advice or what to buy to do the job?

Hi, yes you can. I have a 4", 2 speed inline fan. I use a variac speed contoller which works on either the high or low setting. Not the cheap plug in one as they just cause an annoying hum. This you have to wire yourself but it's very easy. Hope this helps

Hello. A dimmer switch is what I use. You know like the one in a dinning room you turn down the lights with. You need to wire it yourself but it works great. Turn it up in the summer and down in the winter. Good Luck. Chuck.

My advice is to find that model on Amazon and go through the questions. I guarantee it's been asked and someone has answered and possibly come up with a work around. Different fans behave differently, so I can't personally say for sure.

Humidity Control Tips What is the best way to control night-time humidity? I have my lights-on conditions pretty fuckin' dialed in, but my lights-off time humidity is around 67-68%. My temps are great at lights-off, around 71-73F. I can put a big dehumidifier in, but I don't want to yet. Any thoughts?

Ventilation I just have one plant under a small grow tent. But I haven't set up a ventilation system that looks a bit complicated to me to install. Is it possible to function without if I open the grow tent wildly once or twice a day to change the air ? Or will I be in trouble ?

New Extractor Fan packed in Brand new extractor fan had packed in after 3 days use 🤦‍♂️🏻🤦‍♂️🏻I’ve set up a fan at the end of the cool tube to blow air over the bulb.. and left the door of the room open and put oscillating fan at the entrance. Any advice? Worried about the bulb getting to hot.. 🤦‍♂️🏻

6" Fan in 3x3 Tent I bought a 6" fan for a 3x3 Vivosun tent and I'm noticing a good mount of negative pressure even at the lowest setting. Do I need to get a 4" fan? There are some vents on bottom sides of the tent. Can I use those to lessen the pressure? Thanks!

How to deal with high (80% ) humidity during flower without dehumidifiers First time grower, I'm in W-Europe and will have around 21-27°C, 75-85%RH in my 70x70x160cm tent, Not more humid than air outside it. Getting a dehumidifier isn't an option for me. Any advice on how to still manage through mid to late flower from someone who's in the same boat?

Low humidity issue Tents 20'' × 30''. Using a vivosun 6'' inline fan to exhaust with passive intake to create negative pressure. I have a good humidifier but even on full the rh doesnt go above 40%. Not unless the room the tent vents into becomes super humid as well.
