How many times can/should I top my girl?

I do a lot of reading about weed plants. Top 3 times seems to be the number.

About heavier LST and wires or scrog even i don't talk, but you can grow well without topping, while controlling canopy in other ways. some people talk crap, without understanding either question either answer ... There are many ways and answers, i gave one of them and explained how other techniques can compensate or even overcome harm techniques. generally topping is for clones. Fact.

0 what on a female..so boring. And in no way unless you are doing a massive long veg. To grow 1 long cola. And short ones on a fem I think is a waste So. Depending if you want to do a scrog and on the strain. Indica will do great by top above the 3rd after you'd remove the 1st set of nodes ,(so in reality that's above the 4th) some times the 1st sets of nodes and be wee, (depending on her traits), and then you can. Top the 1st (2nd set) on both sides, generally you want to mirror what you do on 1 node you do to the other. So you can let them grow out strip the 1st & even 2nd set of internodes top it and grow them out into 4 big colas x2 coming out of the 1st set to fill out the canopy. Then on the 2nd set you want to make it sit in shorter or want the sites closer to the stem the set below. So you top above the 2nd set of internode as opposed to the 3rd set of inters on the 1sf and build it up like that. That's really advanced topping though pal. And does take some walk through. Which id be happy to go through it with you as the weeks progress. Happy growing pal. But whatever way you go with a fem. You want to top it pal. So as I said remove the 1st set of nodes if you see that the set above are out growing them. They are weak. Just remove and then top above the 4th or 5th will give u 8-10 mid sized colas that will be of similar size. To avoid any airy Larfy bud which ppl do get when they just top and try bring a whole plant to harvest.( that you can't do, as you are making it when you top the plant needs a lot more energy to convert those 8-10 mid sized colas. So I highly suggest you remove lower (inteenodes) to avoid any larf or any stand alone sites just remove as they are just energy wasters. I do get what AsNoriu is saying. But if done right. And you can turn the energy out properly you'll get just as good of bud you would if you grow it for the 1 sized cola as opposed to 8-10 which actually will make for a whole lot more bud when it comes to growing fems. 90% of ppl would say defo top..unless you want it for pic appeal. You are growing a photoperiod so you can top as much as you like, Only thing it will do is extend your veg period. Every time you top it takes the plant some time to recover. topping can make it easier to create an even canopy and know what spots to focus on and what to remove to have less larf. In a 40L pot I would guess you have around 5 months ( 3 month's veg + 2 months flower) before you need to start to worry about getting root bound with the grow.

0 if you want max from girl. You can tuck leaves, expose new groth to light, train branches, use LST, use HST as croping and lolipoping later, but no top at all.

As many as you would like up until 1 week before bud cycle. My og kush and goldleaf diaries both topped many times. And started on day 18 from sprout.
