No worries... some say this is a sign of an unstressed plant... could also be low terpene levels, i'd assume multiple potential reasons. it'll definitely stink after drying and curing. not too unusual to hear this context in other gardens, either. go rub a lower bud, then smell your fingers.. (don't actually do this or at least don't make a habit of it.. it damages the plant, but if really curious 1 larfy bud at bottom may be worth the slight sacrifice.. don't make it a habit .. .but to prove something to yourself this time, maybe worth it) can rub the stem then smell fingers too... less damaging but will give hint as to what the buds will smell like later.

When gangsters grew and put shit, sometimes it happened. Sometimes my friends in coco were buying more than plant can eat and putting not only pgr but other steroid type feed, they had it .... BUT In most cases smell returns in last week, when flush is done , curing can help a bit too.

Other guy is on the money. No need to worry. Pretty normal. If you want a preview of the smell I would scrape the stem a bit. It should give you an accurate representation of what the plant will smell like. Otherwise, the smell could either develop in the last couple weeks of flower, or sometimes there's not much smell until after harvesting and curing. As long as you got trichs you're good though. Just think of it as stealth weed.
