Everything I read on pH for hydro gives different figures. Some say below 6.0 is to low. Some say above is to high. So which is it? Ive believed 5.8 is perfect but I'm still getting calcium deficiency even tho Im adding calcium. Now I read calcium cant be used below 6.2 confused

In hydro, calcium is best absorbed by the roots in the 6.2 – 6.5 pH range (in hydro, it’s generally recommended to keep the pH between 5.5 – 6.5, but calcium specifically tends to be best absorbed above 6.2)

All nutrients are absorbed at different ph levels but I've been told that 6.2-6.3 are perfect ph levels for soil and hydro to help the plant intake all the proper nutrients it needs.

Calcium is best absorbed in hydro at 6.0+. My feed always drops, so I like to set it at about 6-6.1 and then bring it back up when it hits 5.6/5.7.
